Property Tax Relief for Senior Citizens

 

The state of New Jersey has several programs that provide property tax relief, especially for people who are older or disabled.  One current program “freezes” someone’s tax rate once they meet eligibility requirements (such as an annual income of $163,050 or less). Another scheduled to start in 2026 will cut tax bills in half for seniors making up to $500,000.
