Technology Coordinator/Network Administrator

Referred to as:   Supervisor of Technology

The Southampton Township Public School District, Burlington County, is a seeking the ideal candidate to fill the Supervisor of Technology position. The successful candidate must have a minimum of four (4) years’ experience working in the field of technology, experience in a school setting preferred, a valid driver’s license, and a minimum of a bachelor degree in a technology related field. Some supervisory experience is preferred. The successful candidate must have experience with the following:

 

Telecommunications, Networks, Servers, Virtualization, Systems and desktops. Hardware and software used by the district.

Budgeting, designing, procurement, implementing and maintaining technology solutions

Manage servers, including e-mail, print, and backup servers and their associated operating systems and software. Manage security solution, including firewall, anti-virus, and intrusion detection systems

Manage all network level hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, access points and UPS’s Perform server and security audits

Perform network design and capacity planning and maintains network documentation including topography, configuration, etc.

Facilitate, manage, and coordinate all technology related projects with outside vendors

Demonstrates ability to support networked printers, photocopiers and wireless / Bluetooth technologies

Recommend, schedule and perform network improvements, configurations, upgrades, and repair

Assist in the development of the district’s technology plan

Maintain all public records networks (e.g. SSL certificates, domain names)

Manage students, teachers, support staff and administrator in using technology resources

Manage district Data Management System; and Student Information Systems

Maintains all software licenses and technology related maintenance contracts, and insures compliance with copyright protection

Maintaining a district wide comprehensive and efficient system for inventory of all technology equipment
