Preschool FAQ

Answers to our most frequently asked questions:

• The Pre-School Program will begin as a full day program on 1/2/2025. The hours of the school day for the preschool students will be 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. The expectation is that students will attend for the full school day.
• Transportation will be provided for all eligible preschool students. The students will travel on a bus that contains only preschool students.
• Lunch and Breakfast will be available for purchase from our school cafeteria.
• The students will eat their breakfast and lunch in the classroom. Breakfast will be upon arrival at school and lunch will be at 11:30 a.m. If they have purchased breakfast or lunch from the cafeteria, it will be brought to their classroom at the appropriate time.
• Each student will need to bring in a change of clothes to store in the classroom in the event that they need to change during the day.
• Toileting will be taken care of on a schedule and if students require pull-ups and wipes, we are asking for the family to provide these items.
• If your student has an IEP and it includes any related services, these will be provided during the school day for the learner.
• We will begin our Pre-School Expansion Program with three classes for the 2024-2025 school year. The number of classes will grow each year to accommodate all of our student population.
• For the 2024-2025 school year, we will accept a total of 45 students. We currently have 18 students enrolled in the program therefore we are looking to accept 27 more students for this school year.
• The classes that we are renovating for the preschool students will be in School #2.
• In December we will schedule an orientation for parents to come to school with their children to meet their teachers and visit in their classes. We will also be holding an evening information session for the parents in early December.
• Students must have turned 3 years old by October 1, 2024 in order to enroll in the program. This date has not changed.
• The application for the Pre-School Program will be posted online on 11/1/2024 and the window for applying will close on 12/1/2024.
