RtI Screening Description

School-wide screening

The first level of data collected in the RTI process comes from universal school-wide screenings. The Southampton Township School District is using the HMH Growth Measure and Amira as universal screeners (also called benchmark assessments) in the areas of language arts / literacy and mathematics.

Our district administers the benchmark assessments three times per year (fall, winter, and spring), and the data from these assessments helps to guide instruction through the three tiers of the RTI process. Between the benchmark assessments, teachers monitor student progress to evaluate the effectiveness of their instructional  interventions.
