Southampton Referendum 2025

Dear Southampton Parents and Community Members!

We are excited to share that the Southampton Township School District Board of Education has approved to move forward with a bond referendum at last week's meeting. The referendum will appear on the March 2025 ballot.

Why Now?

One key factor that makes this an ideal time for our district to take this step is that as of September we currently hold zero debt. This strong financial position allows us to invest in the future of our school while minimizing the financial burden on the taxpayers. The referendum will enable us to fund vital projects and enhancements across the district, ensuring our students continue to have access to a high-quality education in a safe, modern environment.

Community Involvement

We understand that this is a significant decision for our community, and we need your engagement in this process. Here is how you can help make decisions and stay informed and involved:

  • Attend 2nd Stakeholder Meeting November 12th- 6:00 pm School #2 APR.
  • Attend Board of Education Meeting November 14th 7:00 pm -Public Presentation on submission to NJDOE

Understanding How State Aid and Why It Matters for Our Upcoming Referendum
One critical aspect of this referendum is the opportunity to maximize state aid, a valuable source of funding that directly supports our schools. But what exactly is state aid, and why is passing the referendum so important?

Together, we can ensure that our schools remain strong and continue to provide the highest quality education to our students.

Thank you for your continued support and Securing Our Schools Into the Future.

Sincerely,

Megan Geibel, Superintendent
