Meet Mrs. Hayes!

I am so excited to begin my 14th year in education and go back to 1st Grade!  I have been at School #1 since December 2018. I have spent most of my time in RtI while at School #1. In this position, I was able to help students to grow in their reading, while developing their reading engagement. First Grade is something I am equally passionate about, as I previously taught 1st Grade for five years. I am excited for the opportunity to bring everything I have learned as an RtI teacher back to the classroom.

 

I completed my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Loyola University Maryland in 2010.  In 2014, I completed my Master's degree in Reading Education from Rowan in order to become a Reading Specialist.  Recently, I completed my Wilson Reading System certification and am now a certified Wilson teacher. I am also currently enrolled in an educational leadership program.

 

In my free time, I love to run, spend time with my family and friends, and watch whatever is next on my long show/movie list! In the summer, you can find me poolside soaking up the sun whenever possible!
