Mr. Matt Bokey
Mr. Matt Bokey is the Supervisor of Technology.
Mr. Bokey has had a curiosity for technology ever since he was a kid. His dad was the manager at Dow Jones’ Technical Service Center. On days off from school and during summers, his dad would bring him along to see the latest tech, help with projects, and work on old equipment to figure out how it all worked. One of his most encouraging memories is when his dad told him that a computer he built was being used in a Wall Street Journal printing plant. That moment set Mr. Bokey on the path to pursue a career in IT.
While he has always had a love for technology, he didn’t find the same passion working in the industry—until Mr. Bokey found his way into public education. Coming back to the public school environment after almost 20 years, he wasn’t sure what to expect. What he discovered was a team of dedicated, kind, and caring professionals who always put students first. He feels that one of the best parts of the job is that it’s so much more: Running clubs, supporting events, presenting at conferences, coaching, bringing in his therapy dog, Chuck, and helping mentor students. It’s amazing to see the difference educators can make in students’ lives, and being a part of that journey is something Mr. Bokey is truly proud of.
Outside of school, you can find Mr. Bokey photographing weddings, helping grow small businesses with his ad agency, or helping fix and manage 3D printers! The beach is where Mr. Bokey calls home, but he loves a good hike in the mountains or spending some time in Philly.
