Mrs. Michele Henry
Mrs. Henry is the principal of School #1. Mrs. Henry received her undergraduate degree in English and Elementary Education from Trenton State College. She has spent all of her educational career working with elementary students and teachers. She has been a Classroom Teacher, Supervisor of Elementary Curriculum & Instruction and a Principal. She has earned two Master’s Degrees over the course of her career in Developmental Reading and Educational Administration. Mrs. Henry began her career teaching fifth grade and then she moved to first grade where she fell in love with teaching reading and writing to some of the youngest learners.
Mrs. Henry resides in Burlington with her husband and her two dogs, Piper and Willow. Mrs. Henry has three daughters who are making their own way in the world-teaching, nursing and medical school! When she is not working, Mrs. Henry enjoys spending time with her family, walking her dogs, going to spin cycle class and reading. The beach is her “happy place.”
Mrs. Henry is excited to be a part of the Southampton Township School District and is looking forward to working with the wonderful teachers, staff, families and students at School #1. Mrs. Henry wants to promote the positive environment here at School #1 and she truly believes that our smallest learners are capable of BIG things!
